SMT5600 Wireless Sync Question

Wow. Talk about weak support. I'm used to knowing more than support personnel, but my phone call to Cingular support on this issue was painful. Anyway...
I have the SMT5600 through Cingular. I would like the phone to work like the many Verizon phones I have set up for customers, where the desktop software syncs Outlook with their mobile device using the wireless connection.
Is this even possible? Because the Cingular website lists conflicting information with the software setup and user guides.
PS - I'm using a POP3 server, no Exchange.

I found the perfect solution. www.emoze.com
It does push email, as well as calendar, contacts, and tasks. I couldn't be happier. I have no idea how they offer this service for free, but I hope it sticks around.
