Finally traded the POS treo in for a Blackjack a few days ago. I have been unsuccessful trying to use the application unlocker please help.

I have downloaded the unlocker file, dumped the file on the phone thought the active sync explorer and run the file thought file explorer on the phone. During the install process I get a message saying the program was designed for a previous version of windows mobile. But it also say application intalled. Am I doing something wrong or do I have the wrong version of the unlocker?

Phone says I am running Win OS 5.1.342

You need to run the unlocker on your PC while the phone is connected via ActiveSync.

DUmmy here... why do you need an unlocker? I've installed tons of apps on the BJ with no issues.. like I said.. dummy here! thx!

To remove the stupid startup and turnoff noise.

You must downloaded a wrong unlocker file. It is a simple cab file (2150 bytes) that resets a few registry keys. I don't remember it ever complains about OS versions.
