Gmail now push?

I have my gmail account setup through BIS (T-Mobile) as a pop3 service. I noticed recently that it seems like new messages are coming to my blackberry immediately. Is gmail now setup to push email?

Yes there is something about the gmail bis interaction that makes the email almost instantaneous. Because gmail's spam filter is incredible I forward everything to a gmail account and for gmail to my bb email.

GMail has always been push for me. I receive GMail on my BB before my computer does. Unfortunately, it does not reconcile, so any read email on my BB does not display as read on GMail.com.

According to RIM, Gmail has their own blackberry server which is why gmail comes instantly.

mine reconciles immediately. If I delete it on my BB and mark it for deletion on server as well it does just that. In gmail, my sent items are stored as well--don't know why your's is different from mine

I have been getting the real time gmail on my bb since the first day I purchased a 8700g (sep 06).

Gmail gets directly pushed now like the blackberry address. Isn't that great!
