I was wondering if there was a way to change the font color on the home screen, I know you can use Facade to do it, is there anyway you can do it without gettin a new home screen. I wanna use the Windows Default but i wanna change the font color, is there any way i can do that?

It just requires an xml change. If you want to learn, I would suggest downloading a home screen or two from kooldezine (http://www.kooldezine.com/Q.htm) and see how the xml looks, then make your own changes to customize yours.

I was just suggesting downloading a couple of custom home screens to look at the xml file, you don't have to place them on your phone. Comparing the custom xml to the default one should give you some ideas as to which value to change. It looks very similiar to html with font tags and such.

Oh so you have to change the registry in the phone to change the font color? Is that correct?? ...Lol

The xml files for the OEM home screens are in the same file as where you add custom ones. Couldn't you can drag out the xml file that you are like and open it in a program life notepad++ and edit the colors to your liking and then drag it back in and save it?

Otherwise you could just copy the xml and name it something else and associate it with the image of your choice and you have an easy custom home screen with the colors you want.

not trying to be rude, but being such a noob with the phone, you probably shouldn't be messing with xml files. I would just suggest find one online you like and use it.

xml isn't hard, but if you don't know what you are doing, I wouldn't recommend it.

Connect you phone to your PC. Browse via activesync to my device/application data/home and select the home screen (xml) you want to use. Copy and paste it to your PC. Right click on it and hit edit. Find color_hometext (I believe) and change it to the color you want. Go here for a tutorial on homescreens:
