What is the latest version of this and where can I get it and what does it address?

Latest ROM is 2.06 (AKU 3.3). Lots of fixes however it is not released to the public yet. You can get it from xda-developers, just search the wiki.

Does anyone else have problems loading XDA? It loads really slow for me and is difficult ot navigate. Sorry for the off topic post, but I didn't want to start a thread about XDA here.

That is because XDA announced today that Microsoft asked them to take down all ROM files on their site and they are going to comply until they are finished with the legal side of things. So everyone is hitting it to get their last hurrah.

Not anymore...

But I must say, it's awesome. I like it better than the 2.05 HTC ROM, and that one is unbranded! The Cingular ROM seems pretty stable and I like some of the things they've done since the last one. And if you soft reset before the auto-install, you can avoid all the crap that gets installed on the phone at the first boot.

For first timers what is the correct steps to upgrade this? Also since it was mentioned that this is unofficial will there be an official release by Cingular in the near future? Is this something I can take to their store to have it done for free?
