Help - 8525 storage card problems

Having a couple of problems.

1. Choosing storage card as the location for photos and videos doesn't work. Nothing is ever stored there after taking a picture. If I choose internal, it's fine.

2. And this might be related....but if I use Total Commander to open the "My Documents" folder on the storage card, I get an error that says "Error 13 changing to dir!". In File Explorer I can open the directory but it's empty. If I try to create a new directory within it, I get an error.

Now, this doesn't happen with other directories on the storage card, ONLY the My Documents folder on the storage card.

Any help?

I experienced the Photo & Video error. What fixed it for me was a soft reset with the Storage Card out, then a Soft Reset with the Storage Card in Prompted me to save to Storage Card, no problems since.

Yep, the soft reset with the card out worked for me as well.

Soft reset with card out did not work for me.

Still stumped. Everything on card is accessible except the MY DOCUMENTS folder.

I've had this happen on some SD cards. It's frustrating, but reasonably easy to fix. Just use a card reader to copy all the files from that directory onto your PC, delete the directory (and perhaps its parent too), then recreate it (possibly with a slightly different name) and put the files back.

Alternatively, copy the whole SD card to your PC (it's good to make a backup now and then anyway), format the SD card, then copy all the contents back.

The "Error 13 changing to dir!" errors go away after that.
