Epocware releases Handy Day Version 2.0 for Sony Ericsson P800.
What's new in Handy Day 2.0:
1. Jog dial up and down change the current date. Jog dial press invokes the New popup.
2. Check of new mail for IMAP mail accounts.
3. Bug fix: the Blue button always invokes Handy Day. The previous version sometimes invoked Internet.
4. Bug fix: Handy Day shows all appointments and tasks. The previous version did not show some events.
5. Toolbar with New, Task list, Connect, Lock and Color schemes buttons.
6. Show Tasks as numbers (e.g. Past due(2), Due Today(1)) or as list.
7. Show Tasks for next N days.
8. Zoom.
9. Color schemes!
10. Memory indicator in the top-right corner.
11. Lock phone feature (useful in Flip removed mode).
12. Other small changes and improvements.
Registered users of Handy Day 1.5 can download the upgrade to Handy Day 2.0 FREE OF CHARGE here: http://www.epocware.com/download/se...yDayUpgrade.sis

In order from left to right...
* New Call/SMS/MMS/E-mail/Contact/Calendar entry/Task/Jot
* Task List - shows what apps are running in memory and allows you to close or kill them.
* Connections - allows you to configure Bluetooth or IR
* Color schemes - you can choose from a long list of schemes that apply to the entire UIQ interface, not just Handy Day.
* Lock/unlock phone

NICE!
so that gives you a way to quickly turn BT on/off?

I found this app to be a good first effort, but it really needs a lot more user-custimizable preferences/options before it is really useful to me.
See Databk 4 on the Palm OS (from pimlico software) for an example of a really handy databook/to do replacement.

Is handy day ever gonna come out with keypad lock? Or in this case touchscreen lock? That would make the programme "complete" for me....

I would really like to see an "agenda" view so that I can see/scroll all up coming events NOT just a single day view - just like I can on my Palm.
