8525 Text Messaging

My friend got the 8525 after a recommendation from me and set up the MEdiaMax200 Plan, he checked his account after using a few messages via my home computer and this is what it says:
Integrated Messaging
UNLIMITED
Used 3 of Unlimited
Integrated Messaging
Used 0 of 200
Somehow he has unlimited text messages... can this be correct?

Maybe when signing up for the package they give the first month of text messages unlimited.

Googled the issue with no luck, I don't really know what to tell him, I saw another guy with a similar issue but nobody directly responded to him, so I don't know if I should tell him he got lucky and to go ahead and exceed with 200 texts or what.

Cingular always gives you the first month free when you sign up for something new or a new contract. Well I shouldnt say ALWAYS, but they usually do.
