I am using V3m with Sprint service/firmware.
I can use p2kCommander to access files on a: and thus add/delete ringers/screen pics etc.
Does anyone know a way to access the transflash card to add songs for play on with the music app. I have read how to easily do this moving the card into a card reader but I don't have one and even if I did it would be a lot easier to plug into usb and access the card than to take off the cover, take out the battery and take out the card(then put the card in the reader, upload file and re-assemble the phone etc) seems like there really must be some way to access this card via usb.
Thnks

YEAH! I got it to work finally!!!
with a bit of help.
First I used this to access phone files with bitpim.
quoted below:
----------------
Some people have had problems getting their V3m to work with BitPim. This may help. Create a shortcut to Device Manager on your desktop, in Win XP, by right clicking a blank area on the desktop, point to New, and click Shortcut. Type devmgmt.msc in the window that says “type the location of the item” and click next and then type Device Manager in the “Type a name for the shortcut” window and click finish. A shortcut to Device Manager will now be available on your desktop. Double-click your new Device Manager shortcut. Plug in your V3m, turn it on, and be sure it shows up in Device Manager, under Modems, as a Motorola USB Modem.
Now launch BitPim. Open BitPim Settings. Select Phone Wizard. Under carriers select Verizon. Manufacturers/Motorola. Models/V3cm. Click next. For communications port setting select auto. Click next and then finish. This takes you back to BitPim settings where you select Browse. This will take you to Choose A Comm Port. After the Available Ports are refreshed you will see available and unavailable ports. Your Motorola USB Modem should show up under Available Ports. Select Motorola USB Modem and then OK and OK. This will take you back to the main BitPim screen. Select edit then Phone Info. You should now see the Phone Info Dialog and your V3m information should be there. Click OK to close info box. Select View and then View Filesystem. Select the Filesystem icon in the tree view (on the lower left) and you should be able to browse your file system. Good luck.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Then the song files go in folder - mmc1/music/ - you should see a file called AllMyMusic.m3u here as well. This is the playlist for every song in this folder.
