V276 Assistance Needed

Most of the time I use a headset with my phone -- the old plug in standard not bluetooth. Yesterday I didn't have it with me and when I answered an incoming call, I couldn't hear the person calling. And they could only hear me in what seemed like a distance -- sort of like I was in another room trying to talk. Is there a setting that I've accidentally changed?
