Hi there... quick question. Is anyone else having a problem where the sound settings (notification, email, sms sounds) get reset when the phone is turned on/off or the battery is removed? It is very annoying... I have to keep setting these back up to get the alarms for new email, etc. I also have phonealarm, facade and agenda one loaded in case that makes a difference.
I'm still within the 30 day window and might just bring the phone back to get another one.

No.. the profile remains normal but all the sound settings are gone! Fubar... guess I'll return the phone and see what happens... Too bad I have everything setup perfectly already!!!

Before you return, I have had that problem with various WM5 phones. I haven't experienced it yet on the Blackjack, but I expect that to happen soon.
Do you store your ringtones and things on the storage card? If so, move the ones you use most often to the internal memory.
Are you using any third-party sound plug ins? They don't work and mess up your registry files. (I.e. alarm programs, ringo programs, etc)
Many people have reported sound problems if you are using any of the alarm programs (like Fizz Traveler, Alarms, etc). They rewrite registry files and cause all sorts of problems when rebooting.
If none of those - then you might want to exchange. Try exchanging at a different store near you rather than the one you purchased. If it is indeed a phone problem, then the last thing you want is another phone from the same "lot" as the one you just bought. Try another local store instead.

I think I figured it out... I am using phonealarm and it appears it overwrites the settings of the phone.. once I started using the phonealarm profiles and alarms... it works even after reboot! Sorry to bother anyone with this... I'm loving the phone... just wish it had a cover to protect the screen from scratches.. I alreayd have 3!
