8700 vibrator weak....

My coworkers and I just upgraded from 7290's to 8700. Nice improvement in most areas. One exception is the amplitude of the vibrator.
The vibrator on the 8700 is so anemic that it's mostly useless. This is probably wishful thinking, but does anyone know of a way to give the 8700 vibrator more enthusiasm?

There's no real "mod" that you can do with the vibrator, unless you have an extra 7290 that you want to swap out (Do NOT quote me on this - I'm not even sure if it'll fit in the 8700).
Anyways, back to the topic at hand, I found that the vibe on the 8700 is a little weak, but I never missed a call or message or anything like that.

I actually do have a retired 7290 I would sacrifice....but I don't want to be the guinea pig and screw up my brand new 8700. Someone else would have to tell me they tried it and it worked.
