V360 Conection Problem

I had a snow day a couple of days ago, so I decided to figure out how to mod my phone. I end up on this site for many many hours and make very little progress.
My Unbranded Cingular V360 is plugged in to my laptop using the data/fax connection. I installed it as a modem first and then used other drivers to change it to the other stuff. The other things never installed. Eventually I figured out that if I turn it on with RSD Lite and Moto Midlet already open then it installs three components.
Motorola USB Device
1. Accessories Interface
2. Data logging MCU Interface
3. Test Command Interface
I use P2kMan and the files don't show up. It says, "V360 (a?/c?/b)"
I use P2kTools and get a "commected" signal, but when I switch to P2k Mode then it searches and I receive many error messages. One says, "no found interface Motorola test command" and another says, "Data receive error"
I use P2kMenu Editor and things seem to work. Not sure what to do though.
I use P2kCommander and I can access my files, but again I don't know if I can use that program alone.
I use P2kSeem and it says connected, but things don't look like they are working.
What should I do to fully install all the drivers?
With the three i have, can I do anything useful?
Should I acquire "PST" or forget that?
Anyone else overcome these problems? I see a lot of complaints in the search engine.
Please don't tell me that I wasted my day off.
