Just over a year ago I made some mods...seem edits...to my v551. I also edited the menu to add the FEM screen. Well, the phone was still a POS so I actually put it away and used a Nokia 6010. I'm getting ready to upgrade to a new phone and since I'm not sure what I will do with the v551 (sell, donate, keep for a trip to Europe) I though I should maybe try to remember what I did and get it back to "standard" state.

I think my plan of attack is:

1. Flash to new firmware using Cingular locked Monster Pack (my phone is currently Cingular locked)...8.18.40.

2. Flash boot loader DOWN to 07D0

3. Use PDS Editor to unlock as per this post: http://www.howardforums.com/showpos...790&postcount=1

So voila! I would have an updated but unlocked phone!

Is this sequence correct? Should I use a reflash pack after unlocking to re-update the bootloader?
