Can I modify a simple v195?

Hi,

I have a T-Mobile Moto v195; I picked it because it's the only phone
they carry with a talk-time of up to 8 hrs.

I've read threads about unlocking/changing the proxy server (?) so one
could browse WAP sites other than the goofy T-Mobile "Get More" mall..

Is this possible?

If so, will T-Mobile "know" if I do this ..?

You might be able to get to more than T-Zones... I have the Gmail app and Google Maps on my V195 and they work perfectly well (except that they ask permission to access the data network every time--no option to "ask once"), and I don't have a data plan beyond the "free WAP included" on my FamilyTime 400 plan. (I didn't do anything to make that work--just downloaded the apps and ran them.)

Many of the seem edits that work on other Motorolas also work on the V195, but some do not.

If the modding bug bites, keep in mind that the V195 has a "C" directory as well as the usual "A."
