xv 6700 can't receive calls

Was on the phone with multiple verizon techs and can't get an answer. My phone makes outgoing calls but will not receive any incoming calls. The caller hears it ring a about 4-5 times then it goes to my message. I bought the phone on ebay so do you think that it is defective? I tried the hard reset but still had the same problem. Their is an "EV" in my status bar, does that have anything to do with it. Thanks.

I had the same issue and was browsing this forum and found that there is one thing you could do. Try the following steps:

1. start>setting>phone>services
2. type ##778#
3. after the last #, press the space(sym) on the keyboard.(After pressing space(sym) it should take you to the screen)
4. select 1x and press ok.

I think since its in EV mode, it won't let you receive any calls. If you noticed that if you make a call, the symbol change to 1x.
