moto hf 850 and blackjack ?

i just paired my moto hf850 to the blackjack for the first time ,they paired ,i entered the code ,stored the name of the 850 and made a call with it.about 5 blocks away i see the blue light on the 850 go off meaning its not paired,i look at the phone and the bluetooth icon and the headphone/mic icon are still on ,so i try a call its only coming through the phone? i shut the phone off turn it back on and it pairs by itself like normal then loses it again? im i doing something wrong? this unit worked flawless for months with my Q.
