Hi -

Sorry about this. I am a regular at Samsung/T-Mobile sections.

Although this is a cross-port I believe this is GENERAL and I could use feedback from anyone out here.

I need a free web host supporting JAD, JAR MIME types or addition of custom MIME types

The customer MIME types would be better as such.

I have been going crazy trying to set up a site at tagtag.com linked to JADs & JARs on various other free webspace providers.

It seems that these providers dont support the JAD & JAR MIME types required for Samsung S100/105/300 downloads.

Neither have I been able to find one that supports adding custom MIMEs using some method (for e.g. .htaccess files).

If someone is aware of one. Please do let me know.

PS:

The MIME type of JAD should be “text/vnd.sun.j2me.app-descriptor”
The MIME type of JAR should be “application/java-archive”

.htaccess

AddType text/vnd.sun.j2me.app-descriptor jad
AddType application/java-archive jar
