Hello, the EDGE symbol now constantly appears overtop of the signal strength bars. It wasn't like this before. The only time I saw this symbol was when I was sending picture messages. But after a while it would disappear. This however is not disappearing. Any ideas?

Thanks
(btw i hope this is the right forum to post this under)

Mine is showing right now also, if it matters. I wouldn't worry about it.

its suppose to be there.....it also changes to "G" if you not in an area that gets edge.

Well before it didn't have it. This was before the flash. But after the flash now it constantly displays the EDGE.

I just hope its not eatting any data from me.

BTW: How do you check to see if you have the latest cam drivers and acoustic sets?

Yeah okay no globe

sweet then.
uh R4DB005. i basically used fungied.cheese's pack. but not the one on the first 'flash your phone with phone xs' guide. i believe its on page 4 of that thread. I just used that menu and saw that camera is 5.3 or something like that. but another thread i saw recently said the latest drivers out for camera are 8.53 as seen here click

so if you see a globe your under the "g" and if you see the opera symbol your in the "e" area?

you see that E or G there cause after the flash in options>conectivity>data comm>prefered service you have the "gprs and gsm"option selected, but before the flash you had the "gsm only"option.

i was told that having both as prefered service consumed more battery.

Ahh thats probably the reason. I'll probably just use GSM only since i dont use EDGE much.
