okay. my verizon contract is up in approx. 8 days, and i cant WAIT to get rid of them. SO: im moving to a new carrier, just not sure which. I really like the red razr on sprint, but not sure about their services/coverage. I also really like the V3xx on Cingular, but for the money, i wonder if sprint's a better deal. and then, ontop of that, theres the Krzr, which i ALSO like! so i guess im just looking for overall opinions on the two carriers, the phones, or even another phone you think is the best for each. i've had verizon for 3yrs now, so i have no experience with anything but overpriced, locked down hardware. Please help! i need a new phone before my orlando trip on march 14th. thx

Let me tell you, when you go to Orlando, Cingular drops calls a lot. Sprint gives "garbled" calls in Orlando also. If T-Mobile is available in your area, go with them.

well, thats interesting. thanks! the issue is my friends around here who have tmobile always seem to drop calls and lose the signal alot! although, i have been eyeing that Dolce & Gabbana Razr....lol

You really need to look at where you will be using your phone - where you live, work travel, etc. Pick the carrier based on that and then pick the phone. That neat red razr could become an expensive paperweight if you don't have a connection. Don't base your selection on one trip to Fl either.

i agree with the DUbDub depends on what provider works in your area.

i really wasnt basing my search on Florida, that was just my time requirements. thats all. lol. and you're all right, i just have only had experience with Verizon, so everything else is foreign to me. I'm leaning towards sprint though, so can anyone advise on their past experiences with them?

Talk to people who use Sprint (or have used) in your area.

woah hold up, I live in orlando florida and i can tell you right now that I have never ever had a drop call with them. Chalk it up to me being lucky or whatever, but my SLVR is seemingly flawless here, reception wise that is. I'm not to sure on how the sprint network is here but the cingular one works for me
