I just suck at theme creation

I cannot manage to create a decent theme. I have all kinds of good ideas, but the execution ends up looking like a 2 year old did it. I am using mTC from Lasyk, and a photo editing program called ToyViewer (for Mac). I have read the tutorials found on various websites, but they are all for PC users. Anyone have any ideas for me?

Mac isn't a problem... I don't how good your image editing program is so I really can't help you. I use Photoshop and I need to say that if you got good image editing program and you know how to use it then you also know how to create cool themes

Well, I finallly figured out how to make a proper theme, but I am still struggling with the image editing. I did manage to download a pretty cool cropping program for the Mac so I can finally edit stuff.

I normally use an existing theme that have decent highlights and stuff, then I put my own pictures and change other things
