Updating PEBL U6

Hi!
I have just bought a PEBL. It was locked to FIDO (a Canadian provider), but a guy unlocked it for me. I hope you can help me with the following questions.
Do you recommend me to use the software update facility provided by Motorola in its website?
If I decide to do the update, and since my phone is now unlocked, should I do it form the Canadian website, where I have to select a provider, or could I do it from the Spanish website, where no provider has to be selected (I have moved now to Spain and no longer use FIDO as provider).
Motorola provides a flesh or flash update?
Is there any "non-official" flesh or flash update available for PEBL? Would be worth it?
