How is the quality? I'm thinking about getting a v3xx and a set of bluetooth headphones...but I'm hoping that it won't cutout on me if I have my v3 in my pocket at the gym.

What are your experiences?

Thanks.

it works fine. You'll like it.

works well. If it's in you pocket, you'll have no problems

i have the moto ht820 stereo headset with my krzr...and i bought it for the same reason, so i could goto the gym with my cell instead of carrying the phone and my ipod.

clarity and funtionality are very good...i was definetly impressed, however, they are BIG dude. you will look a little funny with these on, theyre not exactly "sleek" lol plus the wrap around plastic piece has two hooks that go behind your ears and after wearing these for a while youll feel like ur ears are burning lol

just my .02 lol

Try the plantronics 590A, the best sounding BT stereo headphones I have ever owned. But be warmed, you must like wearing headphones that go over your head.

I use the Plantronics Explorer 320 with my V3i.
Great headset!
They're about $20 on Ebay.

Thanks for the feedback...size isn't really an issue with me...I try to be in my own world at the gym anyway. I was mainly worried about quality....sounds like they work pretty well so I will give them a go.

Do others sound much worse? They're the only ones I've used and I'm not impressed. I was actually going to warn the OP away from them - I haven't used them with a V3xx or any other device with built-in A2DP, but with the dongle and iPod, they cut out all the time when I'm on the subway or in a station, and sometimes just walking down the street. I also don't like their folding - they don't fold enough to actually take up any less space, just enough (and too easily) to make it impossible to put them on one-handed.

The reason I stick with them is for the over-head design - behind-head 'phones pinch when I'm wearing glasses (which is nearly all the time)

The difference between a good and bad bluetooth headset is like night and day. And when you ask which one is good, you'll get tons of recommendations on all makes and models. But it comes down to personal preference on the form factory. I suggest you go take a look physically at stores and determine which one fits you the best, and then come back and solicit opinion on the specific model.

BTW there are a lot of info in the bluetooth forum.

Use caution on eBay when buying Bluetooth headsets.

If it's a $90 headset selling 'new' on eBay for only $20, it's most likely counterfeit (bogus, knockoff, fake).

I got a counterfeit Moto H3, and the microphone volume was so low that nobody could hear me unless I yelled. I tried it on multiple model phones, my Axim x51v, desktop computer, laptop. . . (lather rinse repeat. . . )

In addition the sound quality was very poor, distorted, and range was under 3 feet. If you put the phone in your pocket it was all static. . .

In the end, I ended up with a $20 piece of plastic that was basically worthless (it's in the box in the closet - not sure why I keep it).

I ended up spend $50 for a real Moto H3 from a Brick and Mortar, and it works great. I leave my phone in the living room, and wander all over my house with excellent reception everywhere.

Another vote for the plantronics 320. Been using mine over the years with a SE Z520, W810, MDA, Tytn and all have been great.

Me & some of my friends use the Explorer 320.
It's a good headset.
Very clear (in fact I prefer it to having my phone to my ear)
Great range.
No static.
Doesn't flop around on your ear like motorola's because it actually fit's inside your ear as well hooking around the ear.
Just my 2 cents worth.

I thought the w810 does not have the profile for that?

I have a set of Sony Ericsson HBH DS970 headphones. They're a little hard to find, but I really like mine. I have a RIZR but they work super well. Nice clear audio. I've taken them and the phone with me to the gym instead of the phone/iPod combo and it's awesome.
I love not getting my headphones tangled up in the resistance machine handles or the pedals on the stationary bike, etc.
I am not an over-ear headphone kind of girl as they make my whole skull feel as though it's on fire. The SE headphones are in-ear, though they fit quite differently than my Shure E2c headphones that I use with my iPod. Anyway, they suit my needs and wants quite well.
Right now with it being colder, I wear a hooded sweatshirt to the gym and leave my phone in the pocket, and listen to the tunes with the SE headphones. It's great. I would hope for similar results with the V3xx.
Good luck in your search.
