Need HoFo member in Japan or Korea

Hello,

I am trying to find a Howard Forums member who either lives in Japan or Korea - OR - who has a reputable contact in the cell phone business in one of those locations.

I have a Casio/Verizon G'zOne phone, which is sold in Japan through KDDI and in Korea as the LG Can U502s. I (am several others here) am trying to purchase the smaller bumper/protector that attaches to the edge of the flip. I do not know if Casio Japan sells this part, but I do know that LG sells it as part of the EXR Special Package for the 502s phone (which is exactly the same dimensionally).

If you or someone you know can help, please PM me. I have pictures that I can e-mail to someone, so that they can see the exact part.

I'm sad to say but the GzOne is a discontinued handset and the bumpers are no longer available through any of the au shops.

I was thinking about buying one and hocking it on ebay since it finally came out over in the states but they are no longer available. You might consider checking some of the gaijin Japan forums to see if you can find someone who has one and is upgrading. In which case, they will be upgrading and undoubtedly throwing out their old handset.

Nope -

I gave up, bought a Type-S and love it.

I took a few of the ringers (mp3), that I boosted the volume of with Audicity, and I emailed them from my home computer to my number (1234567890@vzwpix.com) and then saved them as ringtones - works great!

GzOne Type-S seems to have a reputation as not as good as the Type-V, but I find otherwise.
