That is correct. PeopleSoft is an Intranet site. You can not access it outside of the local network without having a company provided laptop, VPN access, and SecureID token.

If you have a blackberry provisioned for email redirect you can access most intranet stuff, but mainly you need vpn, etc.

When I worked for AT&T Wireless before the Cingular buyout there was an external link to be able to access PeopleSoft from home even though it was also on the intranet. I wouldn't be surprised if there still was one. You might ask your supervisor.

you're right, you though had to activate or allow your account to be accessed via the internet from peoplesoft.
