Today the phone slipped from my car seat next to the seat.

Does anyone know how much this would cost in repair?

And is it possible to arrange somehting with the guarantee

Yet others claim there phone is fine.. Sure if u don't take it anywhere and treat it like it's worth 10k...

Check your pm. I sent you a link to a site that sells Nokia 6131 parts

The outside Screen is called a SUB LCD which is part of the Main LCD. They are One Piece. Once the sub LCD breaks/cracks, then the entire main LCD must be changed out to fix it. In Canada, this part goes for approx $85 and up.

Get a Torx t6 screwdriver from canadian tire or home depot and you can get a Lcd screen for $50-$60 with shipping from Cnn.nn

why do u need a torx 6? the upper half of the phone is held together simply by clips, no screws or nothing!

Posted by: HC - NO "i"

rabbit1986,

Like Paolo has mentioned, NO Torx screw driver is required to replace the whole NAPA display module. However, beware of the flex cable connectors when you take it out. Also, if you cannot get the Nokia SRT-6 opening tool, you can use a guitar pick to help out when opening the casing.

Posted by: Paolo

yeah but i prefer the "nokia" blue guitar picks instead

Posted by: BlueCalx

where do you get one of these fancy blue nokia tools? I've seen pics but don't have one.. I need a pry tool as well...

{Jokingly} If this phone turns out to be a {piece of junk} I am killing all of you.

{Note from Mod: While most of us get your joke, but please be creative, BUT NO SWEARING!}

CAREFUL with CNN.CN, I was ripped off. See my post in the Modding section

Just crushed mine helping my friend move today. Farg.

They have parts all over ebay now including the plastic protectors. I guess this is one of the bonuses of not being an early adopter.
