i loaded the widcom driver for D link with a problem i keep getting a Valid

If they are the Widcomm/Broadcomm drivers, make sure you have the right copy for your dongle... (should be on a CD that came with it)...
The Widcomm/Broadcomm drivers are licensed per the hardware... and you can't mix/match... Even my two Ambicomm BT2000C-usb dongles, due to their serial number range, can not use the same exact Widcomm driver.
