In short....
Need to reflash v600i using DCU-11, Help please?
The long story...
Three days ago...I was a newbie to flashing But thanks to you fantastic people I have managed to fix my v600i (I know Im in the dark ages) myself. Last week it stopped switching on just went straight to a lit screen. Using the power of Google, I found HowardForums and now the phone is working again, along with some new games. themes and ring tones.
woohoo!
My sister in law has the same phone and had put it away in the cupboard as it had the same problem and she couldn't warrant spending $60 bucks to get it fixed and that was just a quote. They told her it could end up costing more and would take minimum of 5 working days
The added complication with her phone is that the USB port on the phone is naffed. Someone reckoned they could repair it and has removed the whole thing
Leaving just a whole where the USB cable should go
So....I have bought a DCU-11, but after reading the fine print realised that none of the reflashing utilities support this.
Any of you angels happen to know of any way around this or perhaps of any utilities which I have not been able to locate????
Thanks in advance and big lovin to everyone who helped converting me to a flasher

Update:
Found that the DCU-11 cable CAN be modified to work with DaVinci and Woton. This is being considered.
But....I do have the option to purchase "Total Multi Server 2 in 1 Self Powered Cables". However its an unknown brand (not SE). Its online trading! As there are no numbers to refer to I’m not quite sure that this will necessarily be any better than the $10 I paid for the DCU-11.
Does anyone know the in and outs of this technology to provide a summary of the mods to the DCU-11 and what it achieves?
And/Or What questions I can ask the trader to find out if its worth spending the money.
I would rather not have to mod the DCU-11 as the process of reflashing in itself seems dodgy enough if you don’t what you are doing (i.e. bricking your phone) or accidentally follow the wrong sequence of events, let alone adding another risk into the mix.
Any replies would be appreciated!!!! Even a sorry cant help but good luck in your travels.
