Memory capacity for HTC phones

I was wondering if a larger memory on a phone would mean a laggier phone? I was planning on a P4350 or TyTN and I'm open to suggestions for other HTC or other phones too. I was hoping to give the phone an additiona 2/4gb of memory, but if it costs performance, i dunno.. if anyone could enlighten me on this issue, that would be great!

btw, can someone msg me if they've got one for sale? how much do they usually run for the p4350, tytn or any other nice smartphones? thanksss! oh, how much memory can those phone contain thru memory cards?

I have 2 Gig card in my P4350 right now, doesn't slow the phone down any. Yet I haven't benchmarked the speed difference in opening a program form the memory card or the phones memor.

I got my p4350 for $565 from egadgetdepot.com new. cheapest place i found (with a good rep) and a 2 year warranty w/ a decent screen cover. no problems with my 1gb card. course i just got it so i'd hope there'd be no problems yet.

It depends on the way you will use the phone. If you need a ppc for work (phone, e-mail, office, etc.) than I'll say go for P4350, but if you want to watch movies, use lot of programs than you need the TyTN. Difference is 200 more Mhz (that's a lot for ppc). Remember with a 200 Mhz processor when you open two or three programs, device freezes (you'll have to do a lot of soft-resets).

Cheers

With my P4350 I don't find the processor to be much of hit in performance. I have used it to watch a couple movies and it seems to do just fine. However if I try to watch a movie and access PIM stuff then it does slow down.

I have never got to the point though that I have had to soft rest my device because I have had too many programs open. Yes things get slow but the machine never freezes.

memory card size does not slow it down. either choice is good. have a look in the ppc forum as sabesh did a nice review.

When I was shopping for phones I found little information on the Herald. Sabesh's review was very helpful. I am also thinking of doing a review with lots of pictures.

Using SPB DVD I encoded two movies using divx and if I recall correctly the FPS was 25.

I tried to encode one using the .wmv format @ 25 FPS and it was choppy to the point it was unwatchable. I wouldn't take my advice on this part though because I don't know much about converting video or proper formats etc.
