I need some honest answers here. My V3xx seems to always go back and forth between EDGE and 3G!!

I previously had the CU500 and the SYNC and never had this problem! With those two phones I would see the EDGE network once or twice a day... tops!!! But now with the V3xx it's just as normal to see EDGE as it is to see the 3G. IMHO, I really believe this has to do with MOTO not using Qualcomm chipsets.

Also, is it just me or does RealPlayer on this thing SUCK!!! I can't make it through one single Cingular Video clip without the D### thing buffering!! It may seem as if I'm ranting about the phone, but I'm not; I'm a moto guy through and through. Thing is when your used to one thing and replace it with something that should work for the most part the same... then that's what I expect.

On a positive note I do get good speeds when I tether and surf using opera mini. Once again though the phone simply cycles through EDGE and 3G too often. To complicate matters alot of times the data sessions will time out due to the unneccassary switching back and forth.

All in All, I'm not even close to thinking about getting rid of the phone, it's just that this is becoming annoying and I'd really like it to stop!! Oh yeah, if it helps I have the new 3G sim with the blazing logo on it.

I noticed similar problem when I am in fringe 3G area. Once I am in strong 3G area it's full speed ahead.
