Here's a strange one. For some reason, my voicemail notification icon won't go away. I use t-mobile USA. I have no voicemails either. I have restarted the device without the sim card, but the icon is still there. Does anyone know how to get rid of it? I have even tryed leaving messages for myself and then deleting them but it won't go away. Any ideas?

I had that problem, apparently the trick is to call yourself and leave a message, exit out of the mailbox and then you should get the notification for the new message. check your messages and then exit the mailbox using the appropriate button as opposed to just shutting the phone. Apparently this happens when you prematurely disconnect from the voice mailbox. I am on cingular so if it doesnt work, it might be network dependent feature.
