Outlook "other phone"

The field "other phone" in Outlook does not exist on smartphone. Unfortunately, it seems that i have many contacts whose phone number is in this field. I think these are contacts that were imported into outlook from Nokia phones and or some web based email contact lists.
Since this field is not mapped on smartphone Outlook, the contacts numbers are missing on my phone.
Is there a way to move all my "other phone" entries in Outlook on PC into a new field that is recognnized by smartphone? Seems the only method is to go to each contact and manually copy the number into a new filed that smartphone Outlook recognizes, such as Home2 field.
Does anyone have a solution? I know I am not the first to have this issue...

You can always export your Outlook files in .CSV format and them import it into Excel. From there you can sort all of the Contacts by the row that that have that "other" phone field so that all of those records are at the top of the screen. Then do a cut and paste of those numbers into the correct column (the field that you want them to appear in your phone). Now save the .CSV file in Excel. Go back into Outlook and import your newly edited Contacts file and viola, all of the phone numbers are changed.

Of course I'd back up my Outlook Contacts before doing that but I have done mass edit on my phone contacts when I moved from Nokia to an HTC phone. My contacts were stored in the Nokia's SIM card mapped into different fields and this proved to be an easy method for working with a lot of records.

That worked great! Didn't have to copy the column, just rename the column then save as csv.

NOt quite..for some reason the csv file wouldnt map the email addresses..so i did have to copy the entire column..but then import it as an excel file.
