Yes, it is. There are several people here with 6133s flashed to 6131 firmware.

And how do we go about doing this?

You will need to send you phone to your closest Nokia repair centre or to iunlock.com.

What product codes did you use for the 6131 firmware.

I'll be the Fourth to say it does work, and it works like a charm. I can now use unsigned appz and assign mp3's as ringtones....

on unbranded 6133s?
I've seen this question asked a bunch of times, but no answers yet...
Thanks.

My Nokia 6133 allows me to use MP3 files directly from the Gallery on the SD card, as ringtones without any further processing. Of course I only get about 15 seconds of audio. Does anyone know if the software, or a flash upgrade to the 6131 software will allow the full MP3 to play?
Also, what are all the advantages of the 6131 upgrade...if it can be considered an upgrade?
Any info would be helpful.

I'm using a 6133 w/ 6131 Firmware (ver. 6.10). Here's a few changes at least from the Rogers branding of the 6133.
- Email client
- Non-DRM mp3 tones
- Native Nokia music player
- Data timers
- Empty bookmarks list
- Links are handled better in mobile browser. For example, on the old F/W, while browsing wikipedia mobile, scrolling to the bottom of the page would highlight all page links (1 2 3 4 5 etc...), and I would have to scroll left or right to break the highlighted group to select the one link. Now, it works properly selecting only one link on the page.
One change that I miss is when pressing the dial button, before the F/W update, it would show both the dialled and recieved calls, but now it only shows the dialled numbers. Also, there is a push-to-talk (PTT) menu entry that cannot be removed.
