Voice Dial from Freespeak BT200 headset?

(Oh woh I miss the search function!)

Has anyone been able to (or on the flip side a problem with) initiate voice-dial calls from aJ Jabra BT200 headset?

Mine worked great with my T-68 and still will answer calls without a probelm, but I cannot get it to intiate voice-dial calls when pressing the "action" button on the headset.

Anyone have any experience with this?

Thanks,

-Byron

it works for me.

You have to press the button on the Jabra and it beeps.

Next, you have to wait for the two tone beep that means there's a BT connection with the phone (it can take a few seconds). Then, there's another beep which means the phone is waiting for the voice command (while that's happening there's a message on the phone that says "voice dial" or something like that).

THEN, you have to say the voice command.

If it doesn't get it, you have time to say it again. If the recording is not so good on the phone, it wont work - I had to record the voice dialing audio with the phone far away from my voice or the audio quality is terrible and it won't work with the headset.

The tricky part is recording your voice dial with the Jabra headset. It takes some timing, but if you press the headset's action button a couple of seconds before clicking "record" on your P800, you should now be able to record directly off your headset, and thus voice dial more accurately.

It's tricky, but you will get the hang of it!

Thanks guys. I was actually doing all of that and it was a no go.

Since I had one of the fist BT200 to his retail in my area, I wondered if the probelm was old firmware on the BT200.
Sure enough, I bought a new one at Radioshack and tried it out and it worked like a charm.

So, problem solved by newer formware!

They'll switch your firmware for free. All you have to do is give them a call.
