Just got my P800 today..but have a problem

I just bid on a used P800 on eBay. The guy lived about 30 minutes from me, so I got to pick it up. Cool deal. It seems to be complete with only a few minor scratches on the case. No biggie, I plan on getting a mineral grey housing once it's released.
My problem is this. Whenever I make an outgoing call, I do not hear anything for 6 seconds. Then the sound jumps in. Incoming calls are fine, I hear it right away. Any thoughts?
