RAZR V3XX reboots itself when using internet

I just got a RAZR V3XX and I've had a recurring problem where sometimes when I do a wireless data transfer it will reset itself. It doesn't go through the whole power down animation/power up animation, the screen goes black and then white and then it's back on the home screen.
It doesn't happen every time I use the internet, and it usually seems to happen while I'm transferring a large-ish file like a picture or video. I've also had the same thing happen when SMSing a picture.
I went back to the store I got it from (only Cingular dealer around) and they said it was a battery issue and ordered a new battery for me. (Apparently they don't stock spare batteries for the thing? welcome to small town Illinois.) I suppose that's a reasonable- the voltage drops after a sustained draw or something and causes the phone to die. But the person I spoke to at the store made me feel like she was just guessing and just didn't want to replace my phone.
Anyone else have this problem? Does the battery theory hold water?

I'm having the same problem with my Cingular RAZR V3. It usually only happens while i'm using Google Maps or Gmail. It has happened while using the MEdia Net browser, but I rarely use that. I talked to Cingular Tech Support, and they told me to try to find a newer version of Google Maps or Gmail, but I have the latest version of both apps. This is incredibly annoying, and Cingular has tried to help, but hasn't been able to solve the problem.
I exchanged the phone three times during the first 30 days I had it. I finally decided that nothing could be done, and I'd just have to put up with the intermittent reboots while using the 'net. It wasn't as bad initially with my fourth phone, but it's starting to do this more often now, and that's why I called tech support and they threw the ball into Google's court, even when I told them that it has happened using the MEdia Net browser.
If anyone has figured out how to fix this, please share some love...this is extremely frustrating.

Sounds like it might be an OS bug, then? If that's the case I'm gonna just trade it in for a Treo before my 30 days are up.
