How to remove/replace RAZR v3 Hinge?

I thought the search might give more detailed info, but I'm not having much luck (at least not on title searches). I know I can order replacement parts from

http://cnn.cn/shop/motorola-razr-hinges-p-374.html

But I wanted to get the old parts out 1st to visually make sure they match what I would order.

There is a Torx T4 size screw on the round part of the hinge (inside the battery cover) on the side that has the strap loop. I removed that screw, but could not get the end cap piece to budge using a set of needle nose tweezers looping under the strap piece trying to pull it out.

How does one get the hinge pieces out?

I have searched and found the R3 RAZR repair pdf, and while it details disassembly of many other parts of the RAZR I saw nothing about the hinge area.

This is a black RAZR v3 GSM (Cingular)

Thanks,
Mike

Take the four little rubber pieces off from in front of the lcd, then unscrew the four screws as well. Turn the phone over so that you are looking at the outter lcd and take the back cover off of the lcd housing. Once opened, you will see the flex cable attached to the lcd. Right next to this or behind this flex cable, you will the the hinge, I just use a small flat head screw driver and push the hinge (what's left of it) outward, making sure to go slow and not cut or damage the flex cable.
