I'm looking to buy a spare battery for my Palm Treo 650, and was wondering where you guys go to buy them?

Do you buy from the Palm Store and pay $50, or is there a eBay seller you trust that sells good batteries (not from Hong Kong), or an online store that sells good OEM Treo 650 batteries?

I bought my treo battery on ebay from someone in hong kong (a 3200mah for $20'ish). I paid via paypal. Then a few days later I got a notice from ebay saying they were cancelling the sale (been getting that a lot lately) and got paypal to give me my money back. A few days later the battery came and its been working great. Tried to get back in contract with the seller to pay him but he hasn't responded to any of my emails, feel a bit guilty but I blame this on ebay.

yea when i first got my treo 650.. i got my spare batt and accesories off a trusted ebay seller too that i dealt wit always for accessories.. too bad they shut down or i would've bought my accessories for my treo 680 too..

I just bought a few 650 batteries (they fit in my 700wx) on treocentral.com. Came fast. Good service. Got an SD card from them that didn't work, they took it back, gave me credit fast.

I like having the spare. Sometimes by the end of the day I am down to 10% (lotsa email and voice activity) so it's nice to be able to swap out a battery and keep going. With the spare battery I am now willing to use my Treo instead of my Nano for music -- I have a 4GB SD card, which is the same as my Nano.

Actually (true confessions) I have 2 spare batteries. Because I'm @n@l retentive.

I ended up buying mine from eBayer: silverstoneoem for a total price of $9.98 out the door. I'm getting about 7 days / charge out of it. Too bad my summary page says "eBay Note: This user is no longer registered on eBay." He had 4124 feedbacks.

I personally would rather deal with the online retailers like Boxwave, Seidio, instead since I know they will give good service. But of course, the price won't be as good.
