Pantech C300 and bad reception issues

I have the Pantech C300 from Cingular and it seems to lose signal completely a lot. And when it does, I can't make a call and it won't ring when someone calls me. It won't even log a missed call, so I just have no idea they called. Seems pretty crappy to me. Is there something wrong with the phone? Does it not have roaming or something?

A lot of people have complained about reception issues with the phone. It might just be because of the way it's designed.

I have the Pantech C3 and the reception seems to be much better than my old Samsung phone.

Thanks for the reply. I'm just lucky I don't use my phone very much or I'd be much more annoyed.

I've been using an unlocked C300 on T-Mobile with what I consider outstanding voice quality and signal strength.
