Ok, so today I've decided to check my data activity on the OLAM, and all the sudden it is showing I've used some 7megs of pay per use data, how the heck did that end up happening? I've never done anything new from the day I got the phone and all the sudden this month i'm getting taxed?

I've looked around and I can't find real details on this pay per use thing, that somehow appeared on my account.

Please look at screenshot:

Uh...have you called customer service? Obviously there has been a mistake made to your account. Did you have a question about who to call or what number to dial?

I have not called. I was just wondering how that is possible where it just shows up without me doing anything different with my phone as far as usage goes? I will give them a call, but wanted to see if you guys might have encountered this problem before.

I just called CS and the lady stated that I was covered, and she does not know how that appeared. She looked at my account and I do not have pay per use on my account, but I told her to document my call so if I call in again I could have some backing.

That has happened to me several times including right now. It is their fault somehow and I never get charged PPU and it eventually dissappears from the page.

Don't panic. This is about the 3rd or 4th thread that has popped up with this same issue. I went through this last month with Cingular and eventually got an official reponse that it's a know error with OLAM
Regardless of it showing up as PPU on OLAM, when the billing system runs your bill at the end of the month you will NOT BE CHARGED PPU. If you have an unlimited plan it will be counted as unlimited.
Furthermore, if there was an error, Cingular will reverse the charges (although we know that's a pain in the *** and wouldn't want to deal with it.)

This happened to me last month and I can confirm I was never charged PPU. There wasn't even any indication on the bill that anything was wierd.

The problem usually happens after your 1st promo month of Media max expires (with unlimited messaging) and the normal version of media max begins. OLAM gets confused and just dumps the new stuff under PPU.
But it's cosmetic only and doesn't reflect how billing will treat it.

This is a quote from the email response I got from Cingular customer care:
Quote:
The problem you described was a known issue with some of our online accounts. I apologize for any inconvenience.
