Moto v330 Bluetooth Problem

Hey all im perplexed beyond belief maybe someone possibly anyone can help.
I recently purchased a Moto v330 *UNLOCKED* for any GSM company, I personally use T-Mobile. My friend who also has a *UNLOCKED* Moto SLTHR L6 with bluetooth enabled capabilities. Now he mentioned it is able to connect 2 phones together with the bluetooth, now here is the problem, we cant get our phones to connect, he has done it before with someone elses v330 but he cant do it with mine. I dont get no errors just "No Devices Found". The funnie thing is i can connect to his sidekick 3. So what could be the possible problem with my phone? any help is appreciated. If u need my phone info just let me know (meaning software and such).
