8125 Screen Fade

So, I picked up an 8125. Mebbe 12 hrs after it showed up, certain apps or even tabs within apps would cause the lcd to fade to solid white. Not all of 'em, but certain ones every time. Soft reset, hard reset, etc. makes no difference. All this without any mods/changes made.
Is this an issue that's familiar and I'm a search-retard?
Thoughts?
