I posted the following in a different group, but I should have posted in this one...sorry 'bout that

"Took phone off charger and it 'Hello'd' me and showed the time. Put the phone in the car and left. Back at the house later, I plugged it to the charger and....nothing/dead screen. Will not turn On with the charger connected or not connected. Battery is fully charged....tested bat on neighbors 815. The phone was in my glove compartment which is about 2' from the alternator, on the other side of the firewall. Could this have caused the phone to 'pass on'? Phone never dropped/abused/wet and have not had any problems whatsoever with it. Any ideas of what might have happened? Thanks, I appreciate it."

Further: the glove box is above the cars computer. I've not stored the phone in there before, so I'm wondering if the EMF of the alternator or computer could have affected the innards of the phone? Something else: the phone was Off for a week or so. Yesterday was the first time I'd taken it off the charger. It was Off during the 'time-change' weekend. When I unplugged it from the charger and it showed the time, it was the correct time, but I hadn't tried to turned the phone On, until I got back later in the day. I don't understand how the phone showed the correct Daylight time when it was Off for a week/maybe longer? I'm wondering if that time-change might have had something to do with the problem? The only other thing that also happened yesterday was Vz sending me a free text message. Vz does that when I pay the bill, and this was the reason I tried to turn the phone On in the first place, I was going to read/delete that message....

I don't suppose there is a 'hidden' reset button?

Thanks for any help/ideas

Dave
