Volume problem with Motorola V365

We have a V365 Motorola phone. Even when the volume is as high as it will go, it is not very loud. The ringer is low and hearing through the earpiece is not very good either. I would like to increase the internal volume of the phone. Does anyone know what I need to do this? Do I need special software or equipment to do this? Is this simple enough for an amateur to do? If not, are there places where I can take the phone where they can do this for me for a fee? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Do I also need to get Motorola software with a USB cable so my phone will be recognized by my computer? Thanks
