both my friends offer me phones. one a $250 sidekik 3 and one a $300 sony ericson k800i. the sidekiks flip is a little loose but the k800i is in perfect conditions. What should i get?

you should get a sk because its cheaper and you can fix that flip with a torx screwdriver t6. but maybe my answer is bias because i have a sk III. lol

VERY different phones. If you like to take pics get the K800i, but be aware that it doesnt have EDGE data (its 3G only) so that will affect data speeds on T-mobile if you use it.

The SK is really a messaging device (AIM/YIM/MSN/E-mail/SMS) first and foremost. That is what it really shines at and the K800i is an amazing camera phone.

Some things to note:
- If you get the SK you should pay $20 extra/month to get the data plan (so $240 more per year) to get the most out of your device.
- If you get the K800i you will need to buy a 1GB at least memory card (it uses M2 cards) which run around $40-50.

If you want to have a great camera phone, get the k800i. If you want a great messaging device, get the sidekick.
