Hello, I hope someone here can help me. I recently purchased a toyota camry hybrid that has built in bletooth and a phonebook and all that. I have a verizon v3c razr phone, The car supports syncing the phone data from a phone with bluetooth. My problem is that I cant figure out how to "push" the data from the phone to the car. On the cara screen i set it up and it tells me to send the data from the phone, but I dont know how to do this, I believe verizon has crippled this but im sure some smart person out there has figured this out. If someone could give me detailed instructions on this it would be great. Im not up on allot of the phone jargan.

I'll take a stab at helping out here.

First, have you paired up the phone with the car? You will need to go to the phone menu, set the Bluetooth power "On," and go into discovery mode "Find Me." Then you'll have to put the car into the pairing mode. The car should find your phone and offer a 4 digit passcode. The phone will ask "Bond with Camry?" Accept it and enter the 4 digit code. Now the device and car should be paired. Not sure but your car could have more than one Bluetooth profile such as Handsfree (headset) and Computer.

Under Device History in you Bluetooth menu on the phone you should have the Camry shown as a device. Highlight it and use the Option menu to Edit the settings for "Camry" You probably want the settings to be "Automatic" instead of Always Ask or Just Once. When you go into the access settings you will see OBEX Object Push and OBEX File Transfer. These should both be set to Automatic.

Now as far as I know the phone doesn't actually do anything unless requested. For example if you were connecting to a computer you would initiate an OBEX file transfer and you could read or write a file to the phone from there. So I think the Camry has to request the address book in the same way that Mobile Phone Tools would on a computer.

Verison has probally crippled the obex transfers on the phone. They do it on all the others!
