Ok my phone was working great, and all of a sudden while i was messing around with my connection settings my screen tap sounds stopped working. Knowing this sound comes from the speakerphone i really didnt pay it much attention until someone called me and all it did was vibrate, i tried to make a phone call and use the speakerphone but pure silence. What could be the priblem?

Ive tried resetting the phone, take the battery out, that doesnt work. Isnt there a hack for the speakerphone, what should i check, and oh yeah the volume is all the way up when i adjust the volume it doesnt make the chime that it normally does.

help me please

It could be a faulty headset jack.

the headset jack seems not to be the problem, it just seems as if the speakerphone just crapped on me all of a sudden

now this morning the earpiece doesnt work. i have to use my bluetooth now, this really sucks.

Did you read the posts that I linked to?

While there's no hidden setting that intermittently disables the speaker, as you're reporting, it is indeed a known issue that the sensor in the headset jack can get stuck and the phone still thinks there's a headset plugged in. Indicators of this condition would be: 1) You hear no sounds from either the phone's speaker or earpiece, even while on a phone call. 2) You hear everything fine while a headset is plugged into the jack. 3) You hear everything fine over a Bluetooth headset.

If you find this to be the case: Get some relief by gently poke at the inner rim of the jack with something small like a toothpick and unstick the stuck sensor. Get the phone replaced if it happens again. It's got a 1-year warranty and Data Support will ship you a replacement quickly with a box to return the defective unit.

yea ive tried messing around with the jack but not much luck. i bought the phone from ebay with a warranty but if the phone is defedctive and they cant fix it they will just refund my money that i paid for the phone. Yea i did read your links. thanks

Did you try to hardreset it?
Also if the phone is under warranty your phone co will usually replace it. just don't tell them you got it on eBay

i tried the hard reset, shortly after i did that, the earpiece stopped working, when i boot the phone up when the verizon front screen comes on it makes the little melody of connection status but it doesnt have any sound during calls.

Try adjusting the volume while on a call. The phone keeps different levels for master volume, speakerphone volume, call volume and headset volume.

I know I'm pointing out the obvious.

Oh, you can also try updating to Helmi_c's AKU 3.3. Get it at ppcgeeks. There are a ton of threads on it already that you can google for.

thanks im going to look into this download

Posted by: 937dytboi

Ok after downloading the AKU 3.3 i discoverd a few problems with the software but i noticed my speakerphone rang when i got a incoming call. the phone wont allow me to preview ring tones either does my phone taps make sounds. Im now bakc to AKU 2.2 since there were problems with the 3.3 version, this is weird

speakerphone only works now when i get an incoming call to hear my ring tone and not the person, it doesnt work for anything else, im still not getting anything out of my earpiece

now the speakerphone , earpiece and mic doesnt work, what could be my problem

I'd say your phone is broken.
