Modding a SE Headset.

So, i have a SE ehadset, the one for the regualar se fones (not wm). Mine is a Z710i. Since i only use it for music and the speakers on it is really worthless i was thinking about doing a tiny mod so today a bought a female 3,5 mm stereo at my local radioshack. Im going to cut th ordinary Headset just below the Mic/answer button. But since it has mic, it will be more than 2 cablas and i donno what cables i should solder t the fm3.5. Is it risky to try my way untill sucsess?

Please comment and gice critiqs.

i have no idea but read on another forum people modding the headset the same way as u are and read the alternative was to buy one of those on ebay... didnt' read on i'll try to find it again or maybe someone tat has it i'm sure someone on hofo has one tat could answer the questino.. =Dsorry

I just ordered one of those.

some ppl one here said they dont work but i
only payed 6$ for 2 of them shipped.
