MP3 Ringtones

Appologies. I believe that this has been covered but searches are disabled.

How can I use mp3 files as a ring tone. I've transfered an MP3 file to the "unfiled" audio internal storage area. This file is not visible on the menu for Ring Tones.

I think that I had read something about using the voice note feature to record music. Is this the only option.

Thanks
Michael

P800 supports .wav ringtones not mp3, so u have to convert your mp3's to .wav format to set them as your ringtones. There are some programs available to conver mp3 to .wav.

Just in case you didn't know, Winamp will do it easily.

Preferences>Output>Nullsoft Disk Writer (or something like that)

Then just play the track in Winamp and it will export a wav. Just remember to turn repeat and the equalizer off.

By the way, are midi files playable as ring tones?
