title basically explains it all! i've tried to flash to the newest firmware but it says i've got the latest R1ED001 (but from what i've read on these forums this firmware version is old)

when opening up the software version menu the top lines read

R1ED001
prg CXC1250214_CHINA
_WI R1ED001

anyone have any ideas as to why it's not going to R1JG001 ???

Either your cellphone company block that update features for keepin their version of fw or did not updated properly.
Mine's from rogers, I've found that my service provider block the update features so I'm gonna debrand my cell fone soon with wotan server. I'm waiting for Id and password. When I get them and done debrand then fun begin. hehe~

i bought my phone outright from singapore. so i don't think it's branded in any way... soft keys say "call" for left and "menu" on the right.

i tried the update thru SEUS using my usb cable (downloaded the program from SE website installed it, and the flash drivers) and when it downloaded the update it took only two seconds for it to download. then about a minute later the program went back to the screen where it asks if you want to start flashing ur phone or exit the program.

should it take longer for SEUS to flash the phone???
